Hannah’s Ferry

The location of this photo, where the South Yadkin flows into the Yadkin, was known in the 1700's as "The Forks of The Yadkin."  This phrase was well known at that time, signifying a large chunk of Davidson and Rowan Counties.  In the histories of the time, "The Forks of The Yadkin" was the area that Daniel Boone and his family settled in. They referred to their home as being at "The Forks of The Yadkin."   Boone's Cave and Cabin are not far from this site in Davidson County.
