A longtime advocate for watershed protection, Montie is an avid canoeist and skilled public speaker.  He enjoys taking members out on to the river. He lives in Winston-Salem.

Anita Harrington

From Elkin, Anita has experience working with hazardous waste, conducting risk assessments and environmental impact assessments.  She loves the Yadkin river.

Edward Hill

Edward lives in Norwood, NC and has owned property on the Yadkin since the 1960’s. He is a biologist and has experience conducting water quality monitoring.

Melba Eagle Melton

Melba is a lifelong environmentalist and grassroots organizer. She has been active in addressing hazardous waste is a professional genealogist.

Pat is the co-owner and co-operator of Carolina Heritage Vineyards, an organic vineyard in Surry County.  She is committed to increasing sustainable agriculture in the basin.

John Cardarilli

John is a seventh grade biology teacher in Forsyth County.  He loves bringing young people onto the river to educate them and to test water quality.

Rick Chatham

Rick was born and raised on the banks of the Yadkin.  He has divided his time between Elkin and Costa Rica, where he and his wife own a home and Rainforest Preserve.
